Gaps, a juried sculpture and new media exhibition, opened today at GRACE and runs through July 31. Juried by Vesela Sretenovic, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at The Phillips Collection, the exhibition features work from 23 artists both in GRACE’s gallery space and in the adjacent Reston Town Square Park. As Vesela Sretenovic explains, the exhibition seeks to address the
…in-between states, stops or pauses that pertain to the working of the brain; our personal and social life; political and economic situation, technological innovation and communication; the gaps between actual and virtual experience; modern and alter-modern; human and post-human condition.
A full-color exhibition catalog is available at the gallery.
Opening Reception and Gallery Talk: Saturday, June 26, 5-7 pm
