Last night marked the beginning of the C-Note Art Sale and what an exciting experience. At 5pm we opened our doors and let in the waiting crowd. The first in line was received with applause as she entered the gallery and pulled her two picks off the walls: Encounter Quattro by Laurie Fields and Iris & Pine diptych by Jo Fleming. The evening was a complete success and customers left the gallery with smiles on their faces; many taking home more than one piece. Check out a video of the event here. Sale continues all this weekend, see hours below for details.
Don’t forget to sign-up for the Last Bear raffle. David Petlowany is a well-known contributor to GRACE and has participated in the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival. Each year he donates a limestone sculpture to our annual fundraiser. Sadly, this year is the last. But, there is still plenty of time to purchase one or more raffle tickets to take home this beautiful sculpture to add to your collection. Tickets are $20 each or 6 for $100. The winner will be announced on Sunday at 4pm; you do not need to be present to win.
Explore More! makes it return with this exhibition and will be available through this weekend, and what better time to come in and make art. Children will enjoy walking around the exhibition with the gallery guide looking at over 300 pieces of artwork, and learning about contemporary art. While parents will love browsing artworks to start or add to their collections. It’s fun for the whole family.
So, come to GRACE this weekend and take a look at the remaining works. You may find something you can’t live without. See it, buy it, love it.
C-Note Art Sale continues, Friday 11a-8p, Saturday 11a-5p and Sunday 11a-5p.
All proceeds from the C-Note art sale support the GreaterRestonArtCenter’s exhibitions, education programs, and participating artists. We look forward to seeing you all soon!
