Since the first televised American presidential debate in 1960, political campaigns have evolved into multi-million dollar spectacles in which social media, marketing and performance play an increasing role. On September 13 Campaign Re/Form will transform our gallery into a provocative interpretation of a campaign office, where viewer participation will be solicited through interactive components. Guest curator, DC-based performance artist Holly Bass, has been working with our own curator, Holly Koons McCullough, on this project since the beginning of this year, and we are beyond thrilled to see where this timely exhibition has gone. We have an astounding list of participating artists, who will manipulate elements of our campaign office in completely unexpected ways. Campaign Re/Form will inhabit the gallery from September 13 – October 27. Please join us for the opening night on September 13, 6-8 PM. We will be posting regular updates on here as this show moves forward.
